Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo Review - MAINTAINING YOUR BLONDE!

Blondes will know how frustrating it is when the 'brass' creeps back into your hair. 'Ain' nobody got time for that!'

Well, I now have a new hair care staple! Fudge's Violet Toning Shampoo is absolutely AMAZING! It'll strips out any brassy in that blonde hair of yours, leaving it looking fresh.

The instructions tell you to use this 'alternatively' with your favourite shampoo, leaving it on for 5 minutes at a time. However, I instead use it about once a week in my shower, and leave it in for about 5 minutes. Then, I choose to wash it out with a normal shampoo, because it can leave a slight purple-y hue in your hair. NO WORRIES! If you wash it properly it will come out. On one occasion I did not wash it out properly, a few hours later, although it took a few washes, it all came out... PHEW!

Even though it seems reasonably expensive, you get so much more than your money's worth! I bought mine this february, and using a large amount of it once a week, it's only just now nearly finished!

This is a product I strongly recommend to MAINTAIN YOUR BLONDE!

again, apologies for the awful picture quality

FOTD : Halloween Makeup Cabaret/Burlesque Inspired

Due to lack of costumes at University, I decided to go as a murdered cabaret dancer for halloween.

I decided on a dramatic, theatrical makeup look, with a black, purple and glitter cut crease, vampy ombre effect red lip, dramatic contour, dark brow and later added some bruising.

The bruising seen below was created with a couple of shades of blue-toned red lipsticks and a khol eyeliner. I then set it with a translucent powder. With a gel liner, I created a black cat eye and drew on some bottom lashes for effect.

After finishing my hair and makeup and getting changed, I sprayed myself in a silver glitter spray.

Vans Realm Backpack Leopard Print!

I was so super excited to get this in the post a few days ago!

This is the Vans Realm Backpack in Leopard, which I purchased online from Schuh for £30 with free delivery! click here to visit the page on Schuh!

Surprisingly, this bag actually goes with quite a lot of my outfits, due to it's neutral tones. However, it is hard to pair with something patterned, as it can look very busy.

I am in love with this, and it's perfect to carry all my massive books and binders to uni.

Bag: as above
Fur Coat: Dorothy Perkins
Dress: New Look

Sorry about the bad lighting! I hardly get any decent natural lighting in my uni room.

Revlon Colorstay for combination/oily skin - review

I think I am in love. I am, too, very late to jump on the bandwagon.

About a month ago I purchased Revlon Colorstay in shade 150 buff chamois. Although I think I may have picked a shade a little too light for my skin tone, a bit of bronzer and I'm all good to go! This really can last for the whole day, and even with a vigorous
exercise (in my case it was giving Muy Thai a good go), this stayed completely put, and trust me, I was sweating like a Turkey at Christmas.

Don't let the fact that it has an SPF in it put you off; it photographs really nicely, unlike a lot of other SPF foundations I have tried, which leave me skin looking incredibly pasty and white as white can be under the flash of a camera.

You do need to do each part of your face at a time as it dries quickly, but I have had absolutely no problem with the finish at all. Even though it does dry quickly, other products, including creme products, are easily worked into the skin.

I choose to apply it with a beauty blender, but you can use a brush. Do as you please! It is full coverage, and yet feels like you have little product on your face, which I absolutely love. It leaves an almost-but-not-quite-matte finish, with a tiny bit of dewy-ness peaking through, which you can always powder over if you prefer the matte look.

The other amazing thing about this is that there is no need to set it, though of course you can if you wish. I always set my foundation and concealer under my eyes, due to natural deep set lines which are prone to creasing with any type of liquid or creme product.

Overall, this is a gorgeous product, which I would recommend to anyone, especially with the wide range of colours they have to choose from.

ps. sorry about all of the stupid pictures I've chosen!

R.I.P Lou Reed

It's a sad, sad day for any fans of Lou Reed or Velvet Underground.
I've had Sunday Morning on repeat.

Disco shoes!

After watching one of Helen Melonlady's OOTDs on YouTube, I saw some shoes that I HAD to have. They are absolutely stunning, a great fit (though they did rub at first but that was probably because I didn't have socks on) and a bargain at only £28.99 from Schuh. They are so on trend right now as well, and who wouldn't want disco balls on their feet?!
